Hiroki Matsuoka, an artist from Himeji City in Hyogo Prefecture, has created a unique character named “Zungerabocco” who has now become a popular key chain.


This yokai is the child of a guardian god
named Zungerabokko.

Zungerabokko finds sadness and eats it up.

It was a nameless yokai, but people who were saved from their sorrows named it "Zungerabokko"
because it was a "black" child who made them
laugh even when they were depressed.
